We do not collect, transmit, distribute, or sell any of your personal data.

FocusTube operates entirely locally on your device. The extension does not connect to any external servers, databases, or third-party analytics tools.

2. Local Storage Usage

FocusTube uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) exclusively to save your customized settings, such as:

Which YouTube elements you have chosen to hide (Shorts, Comments, Sidebar, etc.)
Your focus timer settings and watch time statistics
Advanced mode states (e.g., Monk Mode)

This data never leaves your personal device.

3. Host Permissions

FocusTube requests host permissions for *://*.youtube.com/*. This permission is strictly used to inject necessary scripts and CSS styles into YouTube pages to physically hide distracting elements and present our custom focus dashboard. We do not monitor, record, or track your browsing history.

4. Third-Party Services

FocusTube does not use any third-party services, APIs, or tracking pixels.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
